For the past 30+ years, the Mt. Washington Valley Chocolate Festival has wrapped North Conway in warmth as snow settles outside each winter. Local chocolatiers, bakers, and artisans gather to share handcrafted truffles, rich cocoa, and imaginative desserts that feel indulgent and welcoming. On February 20th-22nd, 2025, the festival invites visitors to wander, sample, and linger, turning simple moments into small celebrations.

We invite you to come experience it for yourself…here’s how.

How Does the Chocolate Festival Work?

Between the mountain views and friendly conversations, there’s a sense of comfort that goes beyond chocolate alone. It’s a chance to slow down, savor familiar flavors and new favorites, and enjoy the easy joy of a community coming together during the heart of the season.

Locals and visitors have another name for the Chocolate Festival: The Sweetest Day on the Trails.

There is literally a series of booths offering delicious treats lined along various skiing and snowshoeing trails. Or, you can saunter between local shops or inns taking part in the event. Expect to enjoy items as simple as candy or as decadent as chocolate truffles with maple liqueur, brown butter chocolate chunk cookies, or something more unique—mole chili prepared with chocolate (all real recipes from previous years!).

The Only Way to Get Tickets to the 2025 Chocolate Festival

Many might think they’re too late to join the festivities because online tickets are sold out for 2025. But you’re in luck! If you book a minimum two-night stay at the Cranmore Mountain Lodge while the festival takes place, you will receive two discounted tickets to the festival. Wander and indulge during the day, then rest, relax, and prepare to do it again while staying at a beautifully updated historic farmhouse just minutes from town.

These spots will fill up fast, so be sure to book now! Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until next year. The holidays might be done, but you can give yourself something to look forward to when everyone else thinks the fun is over.
